As our nation prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday on July 4, 2026, we’re making this the Greatest American Cleanup by pledging to:

Take Greensboro Beautiful’s Greatest American Cleanup Pledge to Recycle Right and Reduce Litter all year long! When you take the pledge, you commit to simple actions that make a big impact:

Take the Pledge to: 

1. Place the recycling sticker on the brown recycling cart.
2. Don’t bag your recycling. 
3. Recycle right- Only Recycle
   • Paper and cardboard
   • Metal food and drink cans
   • Plastic bottles, tubs, and jugs
4. Don’t trash batteries and other hazardous waste. Take them to 2750 Patterson St or other drop-off locations.
5. Don’t Litter. Throw items (including Cigarette Butts) away in the trash.
