The Bog Garden Boardwalk: $115,000
The Bog Garden has long been a sanctuary where wildlife thrives and visitors find peace. After decades of use, its aging boardwalk is ready for renewal. The City of Greensboro has committed $1.7 million to this important project and selected a contractor to begin the work.
Greensboro Beautiful must now help bridge the final $115,000 to bring this project to life. Your gift will help make this renewal possible and ensure that generations to come can continue to enjoy this natural native treasure.
The Gathering at Gateway Gardens
At Gateway Gardens, a new space is taking shape — The Gathering, a beautiful outdoor venue designed to bring people together. It will be a special place for our community to celebrate, connect, and enjoy the beauty of nature.
With an estimated cost of $400,000, Greensboro Beautiful is working to raise the funds needed to break ground and begin building this lasting centerpiece for connection.
- The Gathering: Garden hardscape: $25,000 (10 donations of $2,500).
- The Gathering: Plant garden collections: $15,000 (10 donations of $1,500).
- The Gathering: Gazebo (cost to be determined)
The Greensboro Arboretum Wendover Sign: $50,000.
The Greensboro Arboretum Sign on Wendover Avenue requires immediate replacement. We are currently seeking donations to cover the expenses for this sign. Your support can make a meaningful difference.
Hamburger Square $220,000
Hamburger Square's large median is still in need of funding. Greensboro Beautiful plans to add local biodiversity to the downtown concrete jungle and add to the cultural and historic value of our Gate City by building a train viewing plaza. Birdhouse Sponsorships $400

Gateway Gardens has 9 beautifully crafted birdhouses created by Donnie Reynolds from reclaimed wood and materials sourced from old houses and barns in NC. These birdhouses provide homes for birds in the garden while also providing decor for the Children's Garden area at Gateway Gardens. Your sponsorship includes a dedication plaque.
Staff Support: $100-$2,400.
As Greensboro Beautiful staff grow their expertise and enrich our community conferences, symposia, trainings, and other activities. Any amount aids us in funding these enrichment experiences for our nonprofit staff.
Summer Internships: $5,000.00
Internships at our gardens and in our offices will enrich our programing, increase productivity in our gardens, and provide our staff with valuable assistance during these peak seasons.
Technology Infrastructure Upgrades: $2,000
One laptop computer and tablets to use for planning, garden events, and litter cleanups, tree plantings, and more. Funding toward other projects strengthen our mission of conservation and research.
