As our nation prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday on July 4, 2026, we’re making this the Greatest American Cleanup by pledging to:

Take Greensboro Beautiful’s Greatest American Cleanup Pledge to Recycle Right and Reduce Litter all year long! When you take the pledge, you commit to simple actions that make a big impact:

Take the Pledge to: 

1. Don’t bag your recycling. 
2. Recycle right- Only Recycle
   • Paper and cardboard
   • Metal food and drink cans
   • Plastic bottles, tubs, and jugs
3. Don’t trash batteries and other hazardous waste. Take them to 2750 Patterson St or other drop-off locations.
4. Don’t Litter. Throw items (including Cigarette Butts) away in the trash.

And there’s more — when you take the pledge, you’ll be entered to win prizes like local gift cards and museum passes! Drawing will be held at the end of April in celebration of Earth Month.
