Each year in April, Greensboro Beautiful volunteers give our community a spring cleaning by picking up litter from streets, neighborhoods, waterways, and anywhere that needs cleaning up. Volunteers of all ages from scout troops, community organizations, neighborhoods, faith communities, schools, businesses, and families participate in the cleanup.

You're invited to join us!

Look for a spot that needs cleaning up. It could be in your neighborhood, near where you work, your child's school campus, a creek or stream. Or select from our map of Litter Hotspots. We'll provide trashbags, gloves, and safety supplies!

Here's How It Works

  • Tell us your cleanup site: If you don’t have a site, check out our "litter hotspots" map.
  • Sign Up: You, your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, club, faith group, scouts, school group, fraternity, sorority, youth group - anyone can help out on cleanup day!
  • Once you're registered: You will be sent safety information and volunteer forms to share with each member of your group who will be participating in the cleanup.
  • We'll provide cleanup supplies!: Pick up trash bags, gloves, safety vests and signage, and further instructions on Friday, March 31st from the Greensboro Beautiful office (1001 Fourth Street) between 1 and 5 pm.
  • Event Day: Pick up litter from your selected site starting at 9 am. Beginning at 11 am, bring all collected and bagged litter to the parking lot at 1001 Fourth Street, adjacent to the Greensboro Beautiful offices. Pizza and bottled water will be provided to all volunteers until 12 noon.
