Something Beautiful
We're throwing it back to 1968 — the year it all began. Help us grow Greensboro's next great chapter.

Keep on Growing, Greensboro!
When bell bottoms were in and the world was in full bloom, a group of passionate Greensboro residents planted a seed that became something truly extraordinary. Since 1968, Greensboro Beautiful, Inc. has partnered with the City of Greensboro — bringing families, businesses, and community organizations together to conserve and enhance the beauty and ecology of our hometown.
This spring, we're throwing it all the way back. Your donation funds real work: tree plantings, litter cleanups, pollinator meadows, public gardens, and three landmark capital projects that will shape Greensboro's green spaces for the next generation.
Far Out — Here's What We Do
Your dollars go directly into these programs keeping Greensboro green and growing, year after year.
NeighborWoods Tree Plantings
We help Greensboro maintain its Tree City USA status — planting trees in neighborhoods, medians, and public spaces to increase shade, biodiversity, and beauty for every family in our city.
Litter Cleanup Initiatives
Volunteer-powered and community-driven, our litter programs make sure Greensboro shines — from neighborhood streets to roadsides. We provide the tools, training, and coordination; the community provides the love.
Public Gardens & Pollinator Meadows
We steward four beloved public gardens across Greensboro — including the Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden, the Bog Garden at Benjamin Park, and a growing Ornamental Grass & Pollinator Meadow along Wendover Avenue supporting native bees and butterflies.
Environmental Education
From Master Gardener workshops to library programs and our speaker's bureau — we grow knowledge as well as gardens. A more beautiful Greensboro starts with informed, inspired families and neighbors.
Gather & Grow 2026
Your spring donation directly supports GBI's landmark Gather & Grow capital campaign — a $4 million initiative to transform Greensboro's green spaces for the next generation. Three major projects. Real impact. Your name on it.
Bog Garden Boardwalk Rebuild
Greensboro's beloved Bog Garden at Benjamin Park features a half-mile elevated boardwalk through 7 acres of natural wetlands — home to over 150 bird species and a true urban sanctuary. The 35-year-old boardwalk is being fully replaced with sustainable Trex material to improve safety and accessibility for every visitor.
