Greensboro Beautiful
It’s good to have you with us.
Greensboro is blooming, greener and cleaner than ever, and neighbors like you are part of the reason. Here’s a look at what’s growing in our community.
New places to wander and watch things grow
Two of this year’s favorite additions are open to everyone in our public gardens.
The Crevice Garden at the Greensboro Arboretum
A brand-new addition to the Arboretum, the Crevice Garden tucks tough, tiny plants into stone, creating a miniature mountainside right here in Greensboro.
It’s a fresh reason to slow down and look closely on your next visit.
An upgraded Butterfly Garden at the Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden
School teacher Jean Williams spent her life helping young people grow. Her family chose to honor her memory by upgrading the Butterfly Garden, and the result is a lively, welcoming space for pollinators and visitors alike.
We’re grateful to the Williams family for this lasting gift.
A year of growing, in numbers
Every one of these is a result of people showing up for Greensboro.
- 2,061
- pollinators and native plants added to our public gardens
- 246
- trees planted in the Greensboro community
- 3.3 tons
- of litter picked up, up from 2.6 tons the year before
- 3,967
- volunteer hours given by neighbors, friends, and families
