EVENT OVERVIEW
Greensboro Beautiful welcomes a limited number of food vendors to participate in Art in the Arboretum 2026, held at the Greensboro Arboretum. This event attracts a large community audience and is designed to highlight handmade art, local creativity, and environmentally responsible practices. Food vendors are selected to complement the artistic experience and enhance visitor enjoyment.
Participation is subject to application review and availability.
FOOD VENDOR REQUIREMENTS
All food vendors must comply with the following requirements in order to participate:
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION (MANDATORY PRIOR TO EVENT)
Selected vendors must submit:
- Valid Certificate of Insurance (COI)
- Must name Greensboro Beautiful, Inc. and the City of Greensboro as additional insured parties
- Proof of City of Greensboro Food Inspection Approval
- Accepted Food Vendor Agreement
- Full payment of vendor fees by the stated deadline
Failure to provide required documentation by the deadline may result in forfeiture of participation.
FOOD & PACKAGING GUIDELINES
Greensboro Beautiful is committed to reducing environmental impact. As such:
- Styrofoam containers are strictly prohibited at all events
- Vendors are strongly encouraged to use compostable, recyclable, or reusable service ware whenever possible
- Vendors are responsible for maintaining a clean and sustainable booth area throughout the event
FEES & PAYMENT
- Vendor space fees will be outlined in the acceptance notice
- Payment is due within ten (10) days of acceptance unless otherwise specified
- All vendor fees are non-refundable
- Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in forfeiture of booth space
SETUP & EVENT OPERATIONS
- Vendor check-in and load-in instructions will be provided upon acceptance
- All vendors must comply with assigned setup times and designated booth locations
- Vendors are responsible for providing all equipment, including tents, tables, cooking equipment, and generators if needed
- All equipment must meet applicable City of Greensboro fire and safety codes
- Generators, if used, must be operated safely and within designated guidelines
HEALTH, SAFETY & COMPLIANCE
All vendors must comply with:
- City of Greensboro health regulations
- North Carolina food service and safety requirements
- Event safety protocols established by Greensboro Beautiful staff
Vendors are solely responsible for maintaining proper permits, licenses, and compliance with all applicable laws.
LIABILITY
Participation is at the vendor’s own risk. Greensboro Beautiful and the City of Greensboro are not responsible for loss, theft, damage, injury, or accidents occurring before, during, or after the event.
ACCEPTANCE & COMMUNICATION
- Vendor applications are reviewed as part of a competitive selection process
- Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance
- All official communication will be conducted via email
- Vendors are responsible for monitoring the email address provided in their application
